Further information about this vehicle type
The R751 double-decker carriages, also known as DBz 751, were manufactured between 1994 and 1997 by Deutsche Waggonbau AG (DWA) at its Görlitz plant. They are specially designed for use in regional transport and are characterised by their high capacity and robust construction. With a length over buffers of 26,800 mm and a height of 4,631 mm, the coaches offer space for 139 seats in second class. The coaches are equipped with Görlitz VIII bogies and reach a maximum speed of 140 km/h. The R751 coaches have a high entrance, which allows access at platform heights of 760 mm. Inside, the coaches are equipped with open-plan compartments, which increase passenger comfort. A closed toilet system ensures hygienic conditions during the journey. Technically, the cars are equipped with KE-PR-A (D) brakes and draw their energy centrally from the train busbar. The Lhzes heating system ensures pleasant temperatures inside the car. The R751 double-deck coaches are a reliable choice for daily use in regional transport. Their ability to handle large numbers of passengers, combined with modern comfort features, underlines their importance in Deutsche Bahn's portfolio.
