The Rns (TDS) 4-axle platform wagon with classic braking system (Knorr-Bremse) is a TSI-approved flat wagon for the flexible transport of piece goods and long goods (e.g., pallets, crates, rails/rail fields, concrete sleepers, and loose materials). The wagon is designed for international use with TEN GE marking (gauge 1,435 mm, clearance profile G1) and is intended for braking regime S. With an axle load of 22.5 t, it offers a payload of approx. 66.0 t with a tare weight of approx. 24.0 t (±2%). The overall length is 19,900 mm, the loading length is 18,500 mm with a loading width of 2,760 mm (loading area approx. 51 m²); the wagon reaches 100 km/h when loaded and 120 km/h when empty. The wagon has a welded subframe made of S355J2+N (manufactured in accordance with EN 15085) and runs on 2× Y25Lsd-K bogies (wheel diameter 920 mm) with 2× WM10 weighing valves; 25-ton wheel sets are available as an option. The loading area is equipped with a 70 mm wooden floor (Scotspine), supplemented by 8 rotating wooden supports and 16 articulated stanchions (stanchion height 2,534 mm) for securing the load. In addition, the wagon is pre-equipped for power supply, data lines, and EP brakes (accessible installation areas along the longitudinal beams). Corrosion protection and labeling are carried out in accordance with standards (including Sa 2.5, 2K EP/2K PUR, UIC 438-2); quality and traceability documentation as well as optional third-party inspection are provided.
