The Vako Sggmrs(s) 90’ is a TSI-approved, 6-axle articulated container wagon (flat wagon) for intermodal transport. It is designed for transporting 20', 30', 40' and 45' containers as well as swap bodies (in accordance with UIC 592 / ISO 668 and UIC 596-6, among others) and can carry a total payload of approx. 107.4 t on both platforms (tare weight 27.6 t ± 2%, total loaded mass 135 t). With TEN GE, G1 clearance gauge, T3 climate condition and a loading length of 2 × 13,475 mm (overall length 29,590 mm), the wagon is suitable for use throughout Europe; depending on the version, operation in S mode (100 km/h) or SS mode (120 km/h) is possible. The design of the wagon is based on a welded subframe made of S355J2+N (manufactured in accordance with EN 15085) and runs on 3× Y25Ls(s)d1-K bogies with WM10 weighing valves (wheel diameter 920 mm; optional 25-ton wheel sets). The classic braking system is a Knorr KE-GP-A(K) with KEf distributor and K composite brake shoes (e.g., Jurid 816M or C333). For operation, 36 foldable container locks, gangway steps (center), and standard-compliant draw/bumpers (including 1,500 kN) are provided, among other features. Corrosion protection and labeling are carried out in accordance with the standard (Sa 2.5 / 2K EP + 2K PUR, UIC 438-2) with documented quality and traceability documentation.
