The Vako Zacns 98 m³ is a TSI/RID-compliant, 4-axle tank car for transporting white mineral oils such as gasoline, paraffin, diesel, and light heating oil (designed for RID class 3, tank code L4BH) and with TEN GE marking for international transport. With an axle load of 22.5 t, the car has a capacity of ~98 m³ and a payload of up to 68.0 t (unladen weight 22.0 t ±2%, total mass 90.0 t). It is designed for a track gauge of 1,435 mm, clearance profile G1, and climate condition T1; the maximum speed is 120 km/h when empty and 100 km/h when loaded (classic braking system). The overall length is approx. 16,400 mm, and the wagon can be used up to a minimum radius of R = 35 m. The subframe is constructed from S355J2+N (welded in accordance with EN 15085). The tank is made from P355N (EN 10028) and has a shell wall thickness of 6.6 mm (including 0.3 mm corrosion allowance), 4.0 bar design pressure, 3.0 bar operating pressure, 10.0 bar RID calculation pressure, and -20 °C to +50 °C (RID/EN 14025). The equipment includes a FORT VALE bottom valve/T-pipe DN100 (5½“), gas return DN80 (2”) and a manhole DN500 in accordance with EN 12561-6. In terms of running gear, 2× Y25Lsd-K (H-frame) bogies (wheel Ø 920 mm) are used; the brake is designed as a Knorr KE-GP-A(K) with KEf distributor, K composite brake shoes (Jurid 816M or C810) and WM10 weighing valve, including parking brake from the platform (for 100% of the wagons). Corrosion protection/marking is carried out in accordance with standards (Sa 2½, PUR top coat, UIC 438-2), including documented quality and traceability as well as optional third-party inspection.
