The Vako Eanos 86 m³ is a TSI-approved, 4-axle open high-sided wagon (Eanos type) for transporting scrap metal (especially iron scrap) and other bulk goods. The wagon is designed for an axle load of 22.5 t and, with a tare weight of approx. 24.5 t (±2%), offers a maximum payload of approx. 65.5 t. With a loading volume of 86 m³, a loading length of 15,160 mm, a loading width of 2,719 mm, and a loading area of 41 m², it is particularly suitable for high-volume bulk goods transport. International usability is supported by TEN GE, G1 clearance gauge, and T3 climate condition; in S-braking mode, 100 km/h loaded and 120 km/h empty are specified. The design of the wagon is based on a welded subframe made of S355J2+N (manufactured in accordance with EN 15085) and runs on 2× Y25Lsd-K bogies with WM10 weighing valves (optionally with 25-ton wheel sets, wheel diameter 920 mm). The classic braking system is designed with Knorr KE-GP-A(K) (including KEdv distributor, K-composite brake shoes C810). For operation and handling, 2 diagonal doors (2× 1,800 × 900 mm) and numerous lashing/fixing points (outside and inside) are provided. Pulling/pushing devices and corrosion protection are designed in accordance with standards (including sandblasting Sa 2.5, 2K EP/2K PUR, labeling according to UIC 438-2); quality and traceability documents are available, and third-party inspection is possible on request.
