The Vako Zacns 88 m³ is a TSI/RID-compliant, 4-axle tank car for transporting white mineral oils such as gasoline, paraffin, diesel, and light heating oil. The car meets the relevant RID, TSI, EN, and UIC requirements and bears the TEN GE marking for international use. With an axle load of 22.5 t, it offers a payload of up to 68.5 t (unladen weight 21.5 t ±2%, total mass 90 t) with a capacity of approx. 88 m³. The design is intended for 120 km/h when empty and 100 km/h when loaded, designed for clearance profile G1, climate condition T1, track gauge 1,435 mm, and a total length of 15,000 mm. The subframe is made of S355J2+N (welded in accordance with EN 15085). The tank is made of P355N (EN 10028) and is designed for RID class 3 (tank code L4BH) with a tank wall thickness of 6.6 mm (including 0.3 mm corrosion allowance), 4.0 bar design pressure, 3.0 bar operating pressure, 10.0 bar RID calculation pressure, and a temperature range of -20 °C to +50 °C. Its features include a FORT VALE bottom valve/T-pipe DN100 (5 ½“), gas return DN80 (2”) and a manhole DN500 in accordance with EN 12561-6. In terms of running gear, the wagon is equipped with 2× Y25Lsd-K (H-frame) bogies (wheel Ø 920 mm) and a WM10 weighing valve for load-dependent brake control; Braking is provided by a classic Knorr KE-GP-A(K) system with KEf distributor and K composite brake shoes (e.g., Jurid 816M or C810). Buffers (cat. A 105 mm, 30 kJ) and draw/impact devices (including 1,500 kN) are designed in accordance with standards; Corrosion protection and labeling are provided by Sa 2½ blasting, PUR top coat, and UIC 438-2, among other things, with documented quality assurance and optional third-party inspection.
