Further information about this vehicle type

The MaK G 322 “220 125” is a compact diesel-hydraulic shunting locomotive designed for light and medium shunting operations as well as light transfer services. The G 322 series was developed by Maschinenbau Kiel (MaK) for the Danish State Railways (DSB). A total of 25 locomotives were produced and operated by DSB as the MK (II) series, numbered MK 601 to MK 625. The G 322 formed part of MaK’s third locomotive programme and, following the takeover of MaK by Vossloh, its design was continued in largely unchanged form as the G 400 B. With a rated power output of 390 kW, a service weight of 40 tonnes and a maximum speed of 60 km/h, the MaK G 322 offers a technical configuration specifically designed for shunting operations. It is powered by an MTU 8V 183 TD 13 diesel engine with hydraulic power transmission. Its two-axle configuration and compact design make the locomotive particularly suitable for industrial railways, private sidings, ports, freight terminals and railway yards. The available 220 125 matches these key series specifications with 390 kW power, a weight of 40 tonnes and a maximum speed of 60 km/h. The G 322 “220 125” offered for sale is operational and currently leased in active service. According to the sales documentation, the locomotive has accumulated approximately 35,500 operating hours and 226,000 kilometres. The listed approvals cover Germany, specifically BOA Schleswig-Holstein and North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as Denmark and Sweden. For professional shunting operations, the locomotive is equipped with radio remote control (FFS), an RK 900 shunting coupler and Webasto. The G 322 series itself was specifically designed for shunting duties and features equipment including radio remote control, automatic shunting couplers, a turbo reversing transmission with hydrodynamic braking and constant-speed control. For locomotive 220 125, the sales documentation specifically confirms the FFS radio remote control and RK 900 coupler. Its current wheel diameter is stated at approximately 932 mm.
