The Gravita 10 (Voith Gravita 10 BB, often referred to as ‘Vossloh Gravita 10’) is a modern, diesel-hydraulic shunting and transfer diesel locomotive with a central cab for heavy-duty industrial, port and track construction applications. As a four-axle B'B' locomotive, it combines high starting tractive forces with efficient operation: up to 100 km/h, typical operating weight ~80 t (Class 10 BB: 76–100 t), fuel capacity approx. 3,300 l, Voith hydraulic transmission (L series) and MTU 4000 engine. The Gravita family is characterised by its modular design, remote control option, large tanks and air-conditioned central cab, and meets the relevant TSI noise and EU exhaust emission requirements. At DB, the Gravita 10 BB gradually replaced the V 90 (DB 290) series – 130 locomotives were ordered in 2008; variants without particle filters run as the 260 series, with DPF as the 261 series. In terms of performance, depending on the version, the Gravita 10 delivers ~1,000–1,200 kW and 100 km/h – the vehicles ordered for DB were specified with MTU engines delivering 1,000 kW. This makes the locomotive ideal for heavy shunting service, two-way transfers and light freight transport, where traction power and robustness are more important than high top speed. Specific offer: Gravita 10 ‘L04-10002’ (built in 2010) – TEIV approval Germany, equipped with FFS (radio remote control), ZBF, PZB, HiDi and air conditioning. Basic data: 100 km/h, 80 t, 1,000 kW, MTU 8V 4000 R41. Operating status: approx. 23,400 operating hours and ~325,000 km; wheel diameter ~999 mm (reprofiling as part of general inspection). Current status: since 28 September 2025 in general inspection (including BR3) at Voith in Kiel; overhaul of engine (QL1) and transmission as part of general inspection (total value > €530,000).
