Further information about this vehicle type

The class 145 (BR 145) electric locomotive, manufactured by Bombardier as part of the successful TRAXX AC1 series, is a proven and powerful electric locomotive for rail freight transport. The vehicle presented here with the NVR number 91 80 6145 084-0 D-RHC was built in 2000 and is currently in a used but very good condition. The locomotive was produced under the factory number 33375 and is authorised for operation on the German rail network in accordance with EBO guidelines. It is ready for operation and is currently used in goods train service - with a mileage of 2,844,187 kilometres to date. The BR 145 is powered purely by electricity and delivers a continuous output of 4,200 kW. This enables it to reach a maximum speed of 140 km/h and develop a tractive force of 300 kN. Thanks to its robust Bo'Bo' axle formula with four axles, the proven wheelset type 2034 (identical in construction to the BR 185) and a wheel diameter of currently around 1,220 mm, it is ideally suited for flexible use, even on winding routes with a minimum curve radius of 100 metres. The locomotive weighs 80 tonnes and measures 18,900 millimetres over buffers. In terms of safety technology, this electric locomotive is equipped with the Siemens train protection system LZB 80/16 (MVB) and PZB. The installed Mesa 26 train radio (Base 2.01.32) ensures modern communication technology during operation. The locomotive is also equipped with a TEMA4G box. The brake type is KE-GPR-E mZ (D) with graduated brake weights: G: 83 t, P: 90 t, R: 123 t, P+E: 105 t and R+E: 145 t. There are currently no technical defects. No necessary maintenance measures are currently required either. The last general inspection took place on 2 May 2023 and the last workshop visit was on 15 May 2025. The next inspection is scheduled for 2 May 2031 - a clear indication of the well-maintained and reliable technical condition of this locomotive.
