Further information about this vehicle type

The Vako Sggrs(s) 80’ is a TSI-approved, 6-axle articulated container wagon (flat wagon) for intermodal transport. It is designed for 20', 30' and 40' containers as well as swap bodies (including those in accordance with UIC 592 / ISO 668 and UIC 596-6) and can be operated with a total payload of approx. 108.2 t (unladen weight 26.8 t ±2%, total mass 135 t). Thanks to its TEN GE marking and compliance with the relevant TSI/EN/UIC specifications (category FII according to EN 12663), the wagon is suitable for use throughout Europe; depending on the version, it is designed for operation in S or SS braking mode. Key dimensions: overall length 26,390 mm, loading length 2 × 12,220 mm, loading height 1,155 mm, track gauge 1,435 mm, clearance profile G1, climate condition T1. The design of the wagon is based on a welded subframe made of S355J2+N (manufactured in accordance with EN 15085) and runs on 3× Y25Ls(s)d1-K bogies (wheel diameter 920 mm) with WM10 weighing valves; 25-ton wheel sets are available as an option. The classic braking system is a Knorr KE-GP-A(K) with KEf distributor and K composite brake shoes (e.g., Jurid 816M or C333). There are 28 container pins (20 foldable + 8 fixed) for securing loads, supplemented by transition steps in the articulation area and standard-compliant traction/impact devices (including 1,500 kN). Corrosion protection, paint structure, and labeling are carried out in accordance with standards (Sa 2.5; 2K EP/2K PUR; UIC 438-2), including documented quality and traceability; third-party inspection is available as an option.
