Further information about this vehicle type

The Alstom Prima H3 is a modern hybrid shunting locomotive that has been specially developed for efficient use in shunting operations and light mainline service. It combines a diesel-electric drive with battery storage, making it particularly suitable for operators seeking a powerful, flexible and, at the same time, lower-emission shunting locomotive. The H3 locomotive on offer was built in 2016, is in very good condition according to the listing and is ready for operation. It has national approval for Germany as well as approval in accordance with EBO §32 and is currently in use in shunting operations. The locomotive is equipped with a Deutz TCD 12.9 V6 diesel engine and has a power output of 350 kW (engine) / 350 kW (battery). The maximum tractive force is 240 kN, and the top speed is 100 km/h. With a length over buffers of 12,800 mm, a weight of 67.5 t, three axles and a minimum negotiable curve radius of 60 m, the H3 is particularly suitable for demanding shunting tasks, industrial sites, terminals, feeder lines and works traffic. Technical equipment includes, amongst other things, GSM-R Mesa 26 train radio, Siemens I60R PZB 90, a Theimeg EC/LO radio remote control, an automatic BSI RK 900 shunting coupler, air conditioning and a refrigerator. According to the listing, there are no known technical defects. The last major inspection took place on 29 July 2024, with the next inspection due on 29 July 2032. The diesel engine underwent its last major overhaul in July 2024. The scheduled replacement of the traction batteries is listed as a necessary maintenance measure. The locomotive bears the NVR number 9080 1002 012-5 and the factory number H3-0012. The mileage is approx. 73,070 km, and the operating hours are approx. 16,740 hours. Anyone wishing to purchase an Alstom Prima H3 will receive a modern, operational hybrid shunting locomotive with German registration, extensive technical equipment and a documented maintenance history.
